Zombies with PARACHUTES?! Bombie Zombie is a lofi action game from forum member Codemonkey, “made in a couple weeks just to see what a zombie game with only landmines would be like.” It also seems to be some sort of a commentary on swine flu? I had trouble following the storyline.

Run around with the arrow keys, jump with Z, place mines with X. Avoid getting swarmed by zombies and other hazards. It’s quite fun!

    A few bugs are known in this build, I’m working on fixing them and adding an online highscore.

    Sweet game! Of course I’m biased towards anything involving zombies and landmines.

    I am noticing a preponderance of zombies of late. Perhaps the world is reaching a sort of zombie critical mass. This could result in one of three possibilities: 1)Zombies become unpopular (unlikely). 2)Zombies become real (be prepared). 3)Zombies become the new “sexy” undead, replacing vampires (ewww).

    Personally, I’m rooting for #2.

    Codemonkey, you fucking win. I love how minimal the gameplay is, but how each action is extremely important to play. I also love the powerups, they’re extremely simple, but work beautifully.

    This is one of the indie games that make the independent gaming proud. It’s just too bad that once you figure out the gameplay and stay alive for a little longer than just few minutes, you most likely die of one of the bugs in the game.

    Actually, speaking of bugs, I just uploaded a new version with a few fixed bugs. I fixed the UFO draining your health from afar and I THINK the bug where you get attacked by zombies and you can’t move after.
