indie games

Good ol’ Simon Carless has unveiled IndieGames.com, a new informational site about indie games. Right now it seems like it’s just a great place for newcomers to the scene to see what’s up? Also featuring the “50 Really Good Indie Games” list that you guys helped compile! Whoo hoo!

Simon is the man.

    I am so not cool!

Anyhow, this is somewhat of a starting point for the site. It was done because we owned IndieGames.com (which is really high in the Google rankings where you search for independent games), and it used to point to an out of date newsletter - so why not put helpful stuff on it?

You are cool, Simon! GSW is consistently great. Thanks for doing this. :)

    Viva la (indie) revolution!

Very cool. It’d be good if it had stuff like the design/development resources in the TIGSource forums for aspiring developers. Also, I notice the link to Tim’s blog has ‘blogspost’ rather than ‘blogspot’ in the URL.

Yes, very nice site indeed. I’m still not done clicking through all of the stuff there, mainly I once again got stuck on the Good Indie Games list.

Speaking of which, there is a mix-up in the description of Nikujin. It has the text of Chocolate Castle. ;)

    Keep up the great work!

Yep, similarly Lugaru is listed as free. Probably worth cross checking with the original.

Ah yeah, sorry about the cut/paste errors, we’re fixing.
