From the People Who Brought You Diamond Rider...

...comes a whole new experience that is guaranteed to change the face of electronic entertainment forever. During a private unveiling of the game in San Francisco this past weekend, reknowned movie critic Roger Ebert purportedly took his hands off the keyboard after just 10 seconds of play and said+, quietly and to no one in particular:

I’ve heard many arguments for why games are art. This is best one. I am convinced. My hat is off to you, Romeopie.

He then proceeded to cry real tears of joy which, he claimed, “had not touched my cheeks in over 75 years. Since the Great War.” It is not understood exactly which war to which Mr. Ebert was referring, or how he could have cried before he was born, in 1942. However, those in attendance were compelled to believe that he was being genuine with his emotions.

+ This is completely false.

Haha, fun game! Did you make the music in this one too, Derek?

I wasn’t sure how you could top Diamond Rider, but apparently, making a game with almost no similarities at all seems to have done the trick :)

I almost beat it too. But instead I died…

1611 combo. 3300 time.
I liked the mechanic that the closer you are to the boss, the more damage you do. I suck at bullet hells, so the final boss was basically me trying to end up with four lives after the beginning forms, then just standing right next to it and shooting.

I’m deeply disappointed in this game.

It had none of the avant-garde qualities that diamond rider had. This is simply a watered-down experience to please the masses. Coherent movement? Actual gameplay?

MUSIC IN 4/4 TEMPO!?

It was even enjoyable! I despise this game and all that it stands for. Try selling it to EA, they might like it. I’m gonna stay hardcore and play the original.

@Xander,

Better than the entire Heroes series I’d say! With that said, at least Heroes isn’t anywhere near as trite as CSI: Miami… who ever gave the go ahead for that one should be shot. Anyway, great game, though not as good as the Red Dwarf Series… but then, very little is.
