Move or Die

A brother and sister are driving together late at night and run over the corpse of an old man who is carrying 10,000 dollars. So begins Move or Die, a visual novel where you play a hitchhiker riding with the duo who must advise them on what to do.

Unfortunately, Move or Die suffers from the same problem many games in this genre do: there are too few “right” choices, and the “right” choices are not obvious. Discovering a winning solution requires too much trial-and-error versus using your noggin. I have to say, though, I found the basic idea behind this one to be interesting.

The creators have more episodes planned, but considering this first one was released in 2005, I wouldn’t hold my breath!

(Thanks, bigbossSNK!)

Beat it. It was quite fun. And don’t try negotiating with the money. Instead, talk about “sentimental value” and you’ll be on the right track.

Yeah, when I played this game I got a bunch of “you’re a one track horse” comments until I saw that it was meant to be a type of negotiation training and started gaming it. Quite nice though.

Anyone having trouble with the answers can use the HINT button, no shame in it. Providing the reasoning behind the action makes for a very polished, at least structurally, IF.
They also have a price haggling simulator, which I found very entertaining.

Their other games look… interesting…

“‘Ambition’ Episode 1:
‘The Desperate Dad’

Ted straps dynamite to his chest and looks for his ex-wife whom, he believes, has abducted his kids.”

Yes!

Apparently, the company specializes in games that train negotiation skills. They have some contracts with corporate clients that they train with games.

“Since 2000, Zapdramatic has grown into a top provider of interactive instructional negotiation games for both the private and public sector. Some of our more recent clients, include:

* Agriculture Canada
* Bell Sympatico
* Canadian Tourism Commission
* CIBC
* Ontario Power Generation
* The Canada Revenue Agency
* The Department of Defense
* Volvo ."

That’s pretty neat.
