Competition entries for the latest Casual Gameplay Competition are coming thick and fast, and as is the norm with these sort of contests there are bound to be several standouts among all the submissions. (Sprout was Derek’s favorite from the last one.)

The “Replay” theme was imaginatively applied to at least one entry so far (Super Earth Defense Game, not unlike Historica), and if the rest of the submissions are anything like it then we’re in for a treat.

Watch out. If you say something bad about one of the games, Jay will ban you from his site.

You guys are teh awesomeness incarnate!

Thanks for the plug! And all the participating indie Flash devs appreciate it, too!

Lots more creativity to be revealed. If you liked the concept of SEDG, there are more entries that interpret the replay theme in unique ways. Some real mind and time benders fo sho. ;)

Cheers!

cappy says there’s close to twenty entries this time around - i’m sure there’s a couple of gems like Sprout in there heh :D

Nice! I really dug the past compos they’ve had. Jayisgames is the face of casual gaming I really enjoy and I wish it was all like that. :)

I like the idea in the super earth defense game, but the shmup underlying it is so slow paced and simple that it’s not fun for me.
