Many of the shorter or simpler games featured on TIGSource could be easily considered casual, especially in to comparison to mainstream titles (such as GTA and WOW) that have gotten a lot of coverage in popular media. And, in that since, we have posted many complex casual games, too.

Additionally, all three of the websites listed cover and critique more than just casual games, so maybe the article’s author was trying to enlighten the magazine’s casual gaming readers to more of the world of gaming.

Furthermore, TIGSource is severing a noble cause in supporting and promoting independent games. Recognition shouldn’t be surprising but appreciated.
