How to get on TIGIRC!
...and be cool like the rest of us.
Quick Start: click here! (IRC client required)
What is IRC?
Wikipedia says: Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet chat or synchronous conferencing. It is mainly designed for group (many-to-many) communication in discussion forums called channels, but also allows one-to-one communication and data transfers via private message.
What is TIGIRC?
That’s the TIGSource IRC channel, set up by AtrusRand, aka “The Doctor.” He’s the best.
It’s basically a big ass chat room where 90% of the people are away from their keyboards and the rest are talking smack about everyone who isn’t on the IRC channel and generally being mischievous. Although somehow, between all the asshattery, a lot of great ideas come forth, much in the way that apple trees grow from cow poop. It’s a lot of fun!
Also, on Saturdays we have Game Night.
