The Behemoth Comic-Con News

The Behemoth dudes are always at San Diego Comic-Con, and this year is no exception. I couldn’t make it this week, but thankfully Gamespot was on hand to take videos of Game 3 and interview Dan Paladin for me. (Thanks, gents!) Something tells me that 2010 is going to be another huge year for independent games.

Also, Castle Crashers is hitting PSN.

since there are no good and polished PC jump’n runs sharing one keyboard I guess this will be a console game?!

    ok, read the tags, damn

Seems kind of random, losing all your goldblocks when getting hit once, but I guess that’s the vibe they’re going for. Even reminds me of Raving Rabbids in that way.

Cougarten, keyboard jamming makes that a very bad idea.

that guy has an awesome shirt

That’s not a comic! That’s hardly a comic at all!

nukeedit <- where dit that con from? I just c&ped the next name :)

Kalleria: I love keyboards smashing! (And I usually set up 2 keyboards, works good (still you have to share the layout, but not the physical keyboard))

I have a lot more respect for the behemoth now that I know they hire autists in their staff.

    Woo looks like fun!

I’m mega excited about this and I’m a huge fan of Paladin’s artwork, but dang, he might be the most socially awkward man at Comicon (and that’s saying something).

  11. Sparky said 2 days later:

Nah, he sounds pretty sociable if a bit spaced out. Running a booth on the show floor must be pretty taxing, which completely excuses the latter quality. The game looks pretty solid. I wonder if the character powers work in a way similar to character selection in something like Street Fighter (per round versus switchable while playing)?

The gameplay reminds me of Super Mario War, which is a good thing. The competitive platformer desperately needs to make a comeback. With this game from Behemoth and the New Super Mario Bros. game for Wii coming soon, I’m ready to have tons of fun with friends. Platformer party!!

Also, link to SMW since I haven’t seen it mentioned on TIGS yet. Super Mario War

Looks like a beefed up version of the PDA game from Alien Hominid. SWEET!
