    Looks nice.

Heh, little World of Warcraft reference in the trailer there. [Legendary] multi-player and [Epic] spells, both formatted and colored the same as WoW’s epic and legendary items.

Is it sad I noticed that? Probably.

  3. Glaiel Gamer said about 1 hour later:

Looks a lot like Castle Crashers actually

  4. John Evans said about 2 hours later:

Is that, like, Aztecs vs. Vikings? Rock on.

  5. Andrew said about 2 hours later:

Totally doesn’t look like Castle Crashers, I find the backgrounds much nicer and the art style of the characters is less detailed with smoother, bolder lines, where Castle Crashers choses to often have far more detail in the outlines, instead of make them as bold and smooth as possible, for example with having things like fur done with more details.

while the art style might look like castle crashers this looks like a simple left vs right flash rts.

it gets extremely boring after a few rounds.. you can spawn soldiers and cast spells, that’s where the gameplay ends

Tell us more of what it’s like in the near future, you precognitive miracle.

  8. Andrew said about 4 hours later:

You can describe any game in this way. In Castle Crashers you just keep moving to the left killing enemies and bosses in your way. Hacking and using spells is where the gameplay ends. Hurray?

All games revolve around a particular core concept, if said core concept is made fun and the game keeps you going for sometime, which this tries with having actual campaigns and multi player modes, then it’s worth the WiiWare (and hopefully other platforms) release for sure.

  9. Andrew said about 4 hours later:

Er, that should be moving to the right I guess. Lol.

this is the kind of game I was talking about

from what i have seen in the trailer, this is exactly what swords & soldiers is, it’s fun but it gets boring and repetitious after a few games

  11. Adamski said about 6 hours later:

Reminds me of super Paper Mario

  12. Radial said about 8 hours later:

Looks like someone noticed Castle Crasher’s fame!

  13. Mark said about 8 hours later:

It kind of looks like this one independent game I played where you get guns and level them up and I think you’re an android and you fall into some kind of bunny town. I forget, but this game is clearly a rip-off of that game.

  14. Radnom said about 12 hours later:

Does anyone else think the 3 in 3HIT looks like an S?

  15. Trotim said about 15 hours later:

@Radnom: Not really, but I can see where you come from =P

  16. defacid said about 22 hours later:

    @Mark: :D

This looks like a fun game. I’ll probably buy it after I buy World of Goo.

  17. Gio said 1 day later:

Certainly different from the usual puzzlers we’ve been seeing on the wii. Besides the good ones, like World of goo and peka kana. Maybe my wii will get some use after collecting dust for some time.

  18. Al3xand3r said 1 day later:

Lolz, teh dust meme has hit tigsource. Hurrah for finally achieving mainstream credibility peeps, if that’s good or bad, is (not) up to you D:

  19. Al3xand3r said 1 day later:

PS: There are tools called vacuums and dusters people.

  20. James-Kond said 1 day later:

    Look like Patapon =)

  21. bateleur said 1 day later:

Are Wii devkits much cheaper than I thought? If not, how are indie devs funding this kind of project?

  22. Oddwalz said 2 days later:

    With Piss and Vinegar

  23. kp said 2 days later:

too bad it doesnt PLAY like Castle Crashers. I don’t want a 360 but I want that game. :(

  24. Darx said 3 days later:

but plays nothing like it at all

  25. Jad said 4 days later:

Omg it looks like a game!

Don’t know about the animations myself, I think the game looks a little .. non-dynamic? I want everything to bounce and stretch a bit more, a more physical feeling?

    I’m rambling.

    tl;dr

Looks nicer in still-frames than when moving IMO
