Lexaloffle Holiday News

Here’s some holiday cheer from Lexaloffle: all of Joseph White’s games are $5 off until the end of December, on top of the usual 20% discount for buying 2 or more games. Jasper’s Journeys received an update, as well. Plus, you can check out sneak previews of his current projects, a puzzle game called Mega Panda and an intriguing “ecological action game” called Conflux.

I hate to say it but I only went to the site because I missread the article. I thought his games were $5. I wouldn’t mind buying Jasper’s Journeys but I can’t pay $14.95 for that game.
I bought Jasper’s Journeys at 19.95 and I don’t regret it. A surprisingly long game, and if you are a ‘collect lots of gems to maximize your score’ type, it’s a blast.
There is a maximum possible score, too, but it would be nearly impossible to attain. Some enemies drop a few gold pieces that disappear quickly, and it would never be possible to get them all. Well, not by a normal person without severe mental illness. But there are no respawns and no infinite fountains of points, so there’s definitely a theoretical maximum.
Conflux looks like it could turn out to be a really awesome game.
I suspect conflux will be a “farming arena” similar to Atomhex.
I would definitely recommend Chocolate Castle. It’s a nicely done sliding block game with some interesting elements like snakes and blocks that stick to each other.
mega -PANDA !!!!!! fuuuuuuuuccckkk :(
