TIGCompo: Commonplace Book

A TIGSource Halloween Competition approaches!
Renowned horror novelist H.P. Lovecraft kept a notebook, called “The Commonplace Book,” in which he jotted “ideas, images, & quotations hastily jotted down for possible future use in weird fiction. ...Their sources are various—dreams, things read, casual incidents, idle conceptions, & so on.” As you might expect, these notes are fragmented, cryptic, and extremely creepy.
The goal of the TIGSource Commonplace Book Competition is to design a game based on one of the ideas from this book.
Update: Deadline extended, by popular request!

Very cool. ^_^
Oh crap, I’m not ready :(
TOO EARLY
This is too “in joke” even for Tig.
What? What’s in-jokey about it? It’s a great compo idea.
The timing couldn’t have been worse though (for me at least), right in the middle of the last rush for IGF, whose deadline is the day after this ends. Too bad, I really wanted to do something for this.
What is Hit Points Lovecraft? Is it like World of Warcraft?
(Also, World of Lovecraft actually IS the opposite of World of Warcraft).
Short compo is short :(
Make it two months instead of only one please! ^^
The deadline has been extended to November 27th, by popular request!
“Popular request” means we threatened to pay Derek a little visit, “scott tenorman”-style .
Sigvatr: In joke? I never noticed any mention of the book here until now.
Awesome idea.
urgh, I really wish to get unbanned from the forums now (ip: 83.81.180.254 )
Wasn’t there that IF compo with the same theme?
Great idea, nevertheless. :)
I would much rather see a compo based on Tupac Shakur’s Commonplace Book: http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/tupac-lovecraft-commonplace.php
Max: Yessssss!
^ Seconded.
