Family Guy Meets Super Mario

The captured by mushrooms bit is pretty funny. But I’m not of sound mind. And is it just me, or does Mario sound like a cross between a stereotypical Italian (i.e., normal) and… Dracula?

    The whole joke of taking Mario out of context is a bit overused, though I think my snobbish contempt for Seth MacFarlane would keep me from laughing at it even if it was original and genuinely hilarious.

    There are really only a few funny moments in any given half hour episode of Family Guy. If you shorten this to two minutes, your chance for funny drops greatly.

    I’ll honestly say this could have had potential. But of course, Seth McFarlane botches it up with the unfunny “Hey let’s have a long boring serious conversation” and try to make it qualify as a joke.

    I think I’m going to take this video and make it better: I’ll just make it end right after Mario says “Your nightmare is over”.
