5 Differences

5 Differences is an animated take on the “Can You Spot X Differences Between the Two Pictures?” game that you often see in the comics section of the newspaper. This time you click the differences (on either picture).

I wouldn’t have found it worth mentioning, except that the scenes, which mostly feature silhouetted characters, are fairly striking! And it’s as fun to play as the analog versions (take to mean whatever it means to you). Some music would have been nice, though – why not?

There are a dozen or so levels in the game.

  • Space Ranger

    Cool :)

  • toastie

Do you have Erotic PhotoHunt in bars where you live? That game is the best.

  • Melly

toastie, I demand a link to that right now.

Also, the game’s pictures are very interesting in an artistic sense, and some are pretty clever (one that comes to mind is of the dude in the room with the eye painting and the guitar, apparently having an acid-induced trip of sorts). However, I’d like to have seen the actual animations come into play more. They’re just background to make the picture seem less boring as you look at it for minutes, but it’d be interesting to see some of the differences be part of the animations (like a character moving differently between the two pics).

I can’t really find a good picture of it.

    (NSFW… i think… cant really see anything)

What you’re missing is the really bad pictures of really trashy naked chicks (or dudes if you’re into that). And the differences are often things like missing limbs. Quality bar entertainment for sure.

Erotic Photohunt is the best pub game ever.

  • Space Ranger.

Oh right, I’m not allowed to say this game is cool?

  • Clark

Very cool, decent challenge, needs music, photohunt: http://1stepahead.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/photohuntthebeff.jpg

I quite enjoyed it, was a nice distraction.

Wow this game becomes much easier but also ten times trippier if you use the “cross-eyed” technique, ie pretend the picture is a stereogram. Especially the end sequence witht he starry sky.

  • Lackey

It’s worth noting that the differences between images are also randomized a bit on each play through.

Are the guitar dude and the eye-painter dude the same guy?

  • Optrirominiluikus

Pretty graphics, ok challenge. I work part time as a proofreader/graphics monkey, so playing this @ work felt like practice.

  • King-N

A good way to waste some time 8/10.

  • TeeGee

Great stuff. Wasted 20 minutes of my work time on it today ;).

that was a very nice diversion, I’d love for there to be more of it
