Furry 2

Dustin Gunn recently posted this trailer for the upcoming game Furry 2, a sequel to Furry which was made a number of years back by Hamish McLeod (now of Moonpod fame). If you’re a fan of old school DOS style action platformers, giant green enemies wielding chainsaws, or Tequila; you should give this trailer a watch. No word on a release date yet, but we’ll keep you informed once we get one.

    where is the first furry?

  2. MedO said about 1 hour later:

Looks nice, but I liked the simplicity of the first one, and, though I hold no ill feelings toward them, giant chainsaw-wielding enemies and monster-tank-driving bosses somehow don’t fit into the style of the original. But I will definitely try this when it gets out.

Also, I really liked the music in the first game, I hope the one for this part will be “stolen off the internet” as well, if that’s the way the best game music is made ;)

what the fuck? furry games? that’s disgusting.

  4. Dustin Gunn said about 1 hour later:

The music from the first Furry (http://www.faindfiles.com/games/furry.zip ) was stolen from a game called Fury of the Furries, a game starring ball-shaped creatures.

    Coincidence? I think not.

I actually tried pretty hard to find similar music that also fit the level theme

    He looks like Cool Spot.

  6. Stij said about 5 hours later:

Looks pretty good, you can definately tell it has an “old-school” diffulculty level.

  7. King-N said about 6 hours later:

    This game oozes death.

  8. King-N said about 6 hours later:

    …and I can’t wait for it.

  9. Dustin Gunn said about 7 hours later:

I did add some difficulty levels for the less videogame inclined but it’s definitely balanced for professional mode.

  10. DrDerekDoctors said about 8 hours later:

Hmm, when that started I thought it looked really “meh” but as it went on there was some ace looking platforming in there. :)

  11. Xander said about 13 hours later:

When it was just running and gunning I was a little underwhelmed, but wall-jumping between lasers, giant chainsaw wielding peas and tequila? This Is Relevant To My Interests!

Also, Fury of the Furries was fantastic…

  12. Tim said about 13 hours later:

Thanks, I’ll be sure to avoid downloading anything that is posted by you from now on.

  13. !CE-9 said about 13 hours later:

a brother of Joe M. Gunn? a game without a prequel (= I’m seconding makeshifter)

the games looks nice, more than that, however the number of wall mounted turrets are somewhat annoying. we’ll see.

that just reminded me, I want Braid. (haven’t said it today and here, have I?)

  14. JW said about 14 hours later:

I got loads of trojan reports from downloading the original furry. D:

  15. Derek said about 14 hours later:

Really?! Fuck, I added Dustin’s link to Furry to Shabadage’s post… I thought faindfiles.com would be clean!

    BUT I WAS WRONG :’(

  16. Tim said about 16 hours later:

I downloaded it as well before it was added to Shab’s article. Thought Fallen Angel was relatively safe because I had no problems with any of Bernie’s games before, but I guess I was wrong.

Definitely won’t be looking forward to Furry 2 unless I have complete assurance from the author that the games he posted are clean.

  17. Dustin Gunn said about 17 hours later:

Furry 1 had a adware, not a trojan. I’m not Hamish and thus don’t put adware in my games.

  18. Hamish said about 17 hours later:

Sorry about that, I didn’t even know the game was available on my server… i reuploaded it at http://www.faindfiles.com/games/furry.zip without a trojan

  19. gnome said about 21 hours later:

    …issa niiiice…

  20. Lol said 1 day later:

    Cool a game about M&M’s :D
