Big Bang Beat

That doujin fighting game article sure sounds like something up my alley. Anyway, here’s another item of interest to fans of import titles from Japan. A demo is available, but with only two playable characters there’s not much to experiment with (yet).
Ah, right. Here are some hints on how to do a proper combo.
(Some of the members in the development team were responsible for Melty Blood.)

We're drawing robots in the forums.

That looks supercool.
That looks extra specially.
I’m liking PC fighters more and more. Is there a community out there full of these? Can somebody point me in the right direction.
The one thing I have about doujin fighters/shooters/etc. is that I never know just what it is they’re referencing.
Except for ArmJoe, but the idea of a fighter based on Lee Miserables is hilarious.
There is a community, but in english it’s pretty small; you might wanna check the www.shouryuken.com forums and wiki, or the http://www.insertcredit.com/ insert credit forums. Most of these games are either original works or derived from a popular media phenom in japan; Big Bang Beat and Akatsuki Blitzkampf are original works, it appears, while Melty Blood is based on the Tsukihime games, and ArmJoe is based on LesMis, of all things.
Doujin itself refers to the groups that make these games, not any actual requirement that they’re based on another media; they just frequently are.
Big Bang Beat, like Melty Blood before it, is based on a hentai “visual novel” game. Akatsuki BK IS an original IP, though, as far as I can tell.
uhh pweedy. From the moves and some graphic elements it reminds me a little of Guilty Gear.
What song is this?
awesome…
Big Bang Beat is the name of my old saxophone teacher’s band.
