Cortex Command (Test Build 12)

Kaboom! Data Realms has released the latest build of their highly-anticipated (by me) multiplayer shooter, Cortex Command.
This new version adds some pretty substantial improvements, including up to four player split screen, keyboard and mouse control, improved AI and gameplay mechanics, and blast shields. Probably more stuff, too.
Be sure to download from this page to get the proper version. (Twelve.)

Beautiful game. The physics is great, nice inventory control, the shop system looks excellent. Use of lieroish dirt - top notch.
But how the fuck do you walk? I can’t go 5 paces without collapsing into the ground. I just want to walk along for a bit - it doesn’t seem so much to ask. Am I missing something?
You’re supposed to rely on the jetpack rather than walking I think (at least until the locomotion is sorted out). That was the answer I was given when I put the problem to the dev.

Build 13 is out now, fixing a lot of issues with 12!
lexaloffle: Locomotion is something we’re working on… it’s tricky. In the meantime, yeah use the jetpacks ;p
