Gravitron is a 2D vector game, very much like old games, Thrust, Gravitar and Oids. The game premise is to destroy all reactors for each sector. Collect fuel and rescue space-men, there is some interesting maps (30 total) to explore.

This game is best played with mouse-control, but other controls are available. Be sure to configure them to suit you.

Gravitron also comes with its editor – GravED. Feel free to submit maps to the author, if there is enough then new content packs might just be released.

This game is ace and I will personally molest anyone who says otherwise.

eyes room for naysayers while putting on his molesting gloves

It’s great, unfortunately I have a problem where the mouse will steer but the keys do the other stuff, or the keys will steer and the mouse buttons do the actions. So I can’t play with the mouse :(

Clearly an excellent bit of work despite that though.

That’s close enough, time for a molestin’. ;)

Did you press TAB on the title screen to change it to mouse control, btw?

  4. haowan said about 12 hours later:

Yeah, heh - it switched ON the mouse rotation but switched the mouse buttons OFF. I lolled

This is why people shouldn’t play games.

Hit tab to enable mouse, then configure the mouse buttons. My personal preference is mouseleft = shoot, mouseright = retro’s and mouse_middle = shield.

Am I really the only person that doesn’t get on with the whole glowy vector thing? It’s like depth of field blur effects and bloom … they only serve to make me believe I’ve been wearing my contact lenses for too long again :op

    Yes.

Well, I’m known for raging against it on the arsecast a fair bit, but this game plays so nicely that I can’t really complain.
