Now THAT’S a gameplay trailer! Wow! I’m all hyped up :S
So, what exactly is Aquarica?
Hot damn I cannot wait for Mr. Robot! And War Angels for that matter, well done Moonpod!
Aquarica is Derek’s latest project. Oh wait.
That’s a month old Developer Diary, Tim.
Also, assuming from that last post, you have no idea what Aquarica is, huh?
(sigh)
Research has been done!
The pictures are from a game concept by White Bird Productions. http://www.whitebirdsproductions.com/siteang/index-actualite.html
Great trailer that!
Also any chance we can close comments on the X Operations post? It’s getting gigaspammed by drug sales bots. Shows up in the RSS dontyerknow
Yeah, that’s last month’s diary. New one has just gone up this second here:

Should have mentioned on the indiegamer forums that the video was only for testing purposes - I didn’t expect anyone would link to it :) Your thirst for news is insatiable!!!
Proper link is now up: http://www.moonpod.com/mrrobot
Which should work in a few other browsers.
Btw - thanks for all the coverage of Mr. Robot all these years. We were working on Mr. Robot when Tigsource first started, it’ll be a happy moment for me when I see the Mr. Robot is finished post on here :)
Good gravy I loved the trailer when I saw it on Indiegamer Forums and it’s great that there’s a high-res version too. The game really does look like fantastic blend of genres - although I’m praying like mad that the RPG stuff isn’t its achille heel for me because it’s been a while since I enjoyed turn-based RPGs.

Any more?
graphics look awesome. is this game mainly a puzzle solver?
Think that’s it Tim, nice one :)
Fost, loving the achievements medals. XBLA ready :) I hope to see it on the 360 one day!
@negative zero: Hmm, it’s really hard to describe what happens in the game, which is a bit of a problem for us. At the end of the video there are glimpses of ‘ghost hack’ which is like a ‘classical’ rpg - you power up your robot’s virtual presence in the computer networks, and have to hack various terminals that are defended by enemy programs. It’s a huge part of the game and is balanced against what happens in the ‘real’ world - which is a combination of platform action, adventuring and puzzle solving. We’ve tried to put a bit of everything in the demo, so hopefully it will be enough for people to make up their minds.
@Teeth: yeah, we’d love to get on live arcade, but I’m not sure we have the resources to do it. I really would love to spend some time and do that properly - because the way the editor works, I think we could make it pad-driven. Imagine an XBLA game where you can crate your own levels and share the content - I think that would rock. Pretty sure that unless a huge crate of cash lands on us from somewhere our main focus will be PC-only for the next few years though.
Teeth: thanks for the info. :)
I’m surprised at the lack of comments regarding Benoit Sokal.
Fost! I wanted to tell you you rock and that Mr. Robot will in all likelihood rock as well, but I kept getting server errors.
You rock, and in all likelihood Mr. Robot will rock as well! Keep up the good work.
ALSO: I think Derek ripped off this place downtown. They call it the “Aquarium” and it’s all filled with fish and everything.
Thanks BMcC!
I think Derek is secretly the world’s greatest fan of Scandinavian pop sensation ‘Aqua’, and Aquaria is his homage to sexy front-woman Lene Nystrøm
who can blame him…
