Lyle in Cube Sector

Now, we’ve seen a few gems these past few days. To quote Derek:

Cortex Command is what I would call a … “gem.”;

Some of you might ask yourself, “What is left? How can I complete my line of two begging to be destroyed in a fashion that Popcap games has cloned more times than Hitler?"

Lyle in Cube Sector

Well, ask no more! Lyle in Cube Sector is a nifty game that should follow up nicely for fans of Metroid and Cave Story. Lyle, you see, is an average boy of dark skin with neon green hair, and has lost his kitten. To retrieve it, he has to go through all sort of hijinks, throwing blocks, kicking blocks, jumping by throwing blocks while in mid-air, and so on. All in the name of finding his cat again.

What a nice boy.

    Huh?

  3. Derek said about 9 hours later:

    Drugs.

    Albert uses them.

    A LOT. ;)

All makes sense now. Well, not that sentence.

I was referring to BeJeweled >_>

Gretat game, old news though! Get this game now, its really good, I have not ereased it from my HD and that’s something, being me an authority in good gaming and file deletion!

  7. lex500 said about 15 hours later:

The last sentence makes more sense if you know that, before getting into Politics, Hitler started a small business making clones of match-2 games.

  8. Yes said about 16 hours later:

No no no, you see, it’s not that Hitler cloned games, it’s that Popcap games has cloned Hitler. And Popcap has cloned Hitler quite a lot, indeed, but not as much as they have cloned match-em-up games. Albert has posted a gem to match the gem Derek posted, thus destroying it under the same basic principle which destroys gems those games which Popcap has cloned. It’s all quite clear, see?

No. I don’t see. I don’t see at all, and frankly I think Albert should post a public apology for this evil crime.

  10. Shih Tzu said about 23 hours later:

I played this a while back too. This is just good damn game design. The graphics are 80s 8-bit prettiness too.

one of the best freeware games ever.. but i’m stuck on the last damn power thing.. ARGH!

  12. dessgeega said 1 day later:

    too lock-and-key.

  13. Teeth said 1 day later:

I’ll have to give it more time because I couldn’t really enjoy it myself. A bit hard, and the control design didn’t feel natural.

  14. Moschops said 2 days later:

The fact that you have to stand on things to pick them up made it a bit pickly, especially when you need to do it in a hurry it can make you look stupid :(

  15. Albert Lai said 2 days later:

There’s a small time lag when you pick something up anyhoo. The reason you can’t pick them up from the side is because of the cube kick ability.

  16. BMcC said 16 days later:

It’s a quick play, but fun.
